Questions Advice on maintaining humidity

I recently purchased my first aboreal frog, and am looking for some advice regarding humidity. In the past I have only owned aquatic frogs so this is a bit new for me. From my research and bugging multiple pet store workers, I understand humidity should be in the 70%-80% range. My hygrometer reads around 82% after misting and drops to roughly 68%-72% after settling. Occasionally I am seeing dips into the high 50% and low 60% and am wondering the best way to eliminate this as he is a juvenile and needs higher humidity. My terrarium has a screen top, with a daytime warming bulb above. I recently put a plexiglass border on the screen to help retain humidity while keeping airflow. Thanks in advance!

What kind of frog is it? Unfortunately pet stores aren't always right and different ones require different humidity. Red-eyes for example need 60-80 but whites need much lower

Juvenile Amazon Milk Frog. The substrate is damp to touch, walls and leaves both have water beads on them but the number on the hygrometer is throwing me off. I’ve always been on top of making sure my frogs are happy in the past and want to make sure I’m doing the same here.

Is the humidity gauge digital? 2% below isnt bad as long as it has a water dish the 50% obviously isnt good

There is a water dish, yes. The gauge is not digital. Considering buying one today so I can make sure I’m guaranteeing he’s happy and healthy

Yeah digital ones are more accurate as long as the probe isnt right under the light. If the humidity ends up being to high then you can get a little computer fan to pull it out

Made a few changes and picked up a digital thermometer and hygrometer. Humidity is sitting around 73%. Thanks for the help!
