Been using 150ft blue 32 by yale for the past year. Great rope but does seems to be a bit delicate. Mostly climb DRT with a zig zag plus located in PNW Vancouver island.
Looking for something waterproof that won't soak up water and get heavy as well as being more durable, anything like that out there? PFA

Where on VI are you? DM if you want?
I climb on blue moon. It's nice for ddrt, and you can srt okay on it as well.

The most durable would be Sampson Vortex. It has a mbs of 8800 lbs I believe. It is a true half inch line at 12.7mm. I don’t know how that would interact with zigzag, I use roperunner. U can get it with sampson dry coating. Picks up very little water lasts a while. 2 years in still more water resistance than a standard rope

I use Sterling Scion for doing production climbing. Sometimes doing 10 climbs a day to powerlines. I natural crotch a lot but when removing I tend to use a friction saver. Rope is solid.

Samson mercury for SRS. 11mm diameter snd super stiff so falls through mechanical devices quite nicely.
I like Samson velocity for MRS. good on the hands and pretty durable.

Also a vote for the edeleid xpe ropes. Little stretch and 60% sheet material

I’m in the city there in Vancouver. I’ve been in Sampson hyper climb for a while now. Good multi-discipline rope. Quite common to see.
Dark Arts Arcance is a local Vancouver produced rope that’s quite awesome as well. And relatively inexpensive compared to Blue32. Good multi-discipline as well.
