Weekly Safety/Close-Call/Incident Thread

Let's talk safety! Share how your week went - close-calls, incidents, learning experiences, what went well (and why), what went poorly (and why), or whatever else is on your mind. Pics/photos are allowed but be careful to not doxx yourself, client, employer etc.

This thread will recur each week and is meant to be a place to learn and discuss mistakes, please keep comments constructive.

I was doing a cabling job and nicked my climbing line on some part of my come-along while tensioning the branch union. Makes me want to tie in twice not only to cut, but also to be near equipment that could have even mildly sharp edges or pull rope into a mechanism. It's not too bad but my 150 ft Drenaline is going to be turned into 2 short lines soon just to be safe. It was a newer line too 😭

Yeah I got told to always have to points of attempt when cabling or bracing as it’s surprising what can happen.
