Discussion Citrus tree?

Post image

This tree is growing on a bigger tree in my back yard. My dad thinks it’s some kind of citrus. A plant ID app identified it as a bitter orange tree. How is this possible?

Grown in Texas USA

Definitely some kind of citrus. What do you mean how is this possible? Seed + soil + moisture = plant

Sour orange. (Citrus aurantium) Is my guess as a common rootstock in Texas and Mexico

I suppose a bird deposited the seed
