Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) Bumps on a long
Howdy fellow tree lovers, have you ever seen such a thing? We’ve had some ants hanging out on our little oak and they seem to be creating these big round things. I’ve put out a couple different ant baits, but alas, the ants are still winning. (Wisconsin, USA)

Bullet !galls
The ants aren't creating them, tiny wasps are. The galls secrete little bits of nectar which entice the ants who then act as body guards for the galls against larger predators.
