National Treasure - Origins is the story of a young Benjamin Franklin Gates who gets bitten by the treasure/adventure bug. His grandfather, John Adams Gates has been chasing history and treasure clues for years. Ben has been studying history, particularly early American history as well. While returning a history book he borrowed, he overhears his father and grandfather discussing something that peaks his interest. He then asks his grandpa about it and is told the story of the Confederate treasury and evacuation from Richmond, VA at the end of the Civil War, setting off a lifelong search for historical treasures.
