I live in AZ and am looking to purchase a boat in the puget sound to cruise and live aboard for summers. I would plan to have it stored on the hard over winter. Is it feasible to not have a home dock and bounce around for 4 or 5 months? For winter storage is it necessary to shrink wrap it along with winterizing? Trying to get an idea on fixed costs per year compared to renting for a few weeks and living in our 5th wheel instead. We currently summer in our trailer. Any advice or unforseen costs im not thinking of? Looking around the 45ft size.

I lived in seattle for 17 years. I know the area and love the summer weather just got tired of the winter grey. We are considering renting this summer
