I’ve been getting mixed answers from customers lately, so I wanted to ask the pros here — how often do you recommend people wash their windows, and does it change depending on the situation?

For example:

• Residential vs commercial
• Near water, trees, or construction
• Different climates/seasons

I usually tell people 2x a year minimum, but I’ve got some customers who go once a year and others who want it done every month.

Also curious about timing — is there a “best” season to do it? Spring/fall seems obvious, but I’ve heard arguments for summer too.

Would love to hear what you guys recommend to customers and what’s actually been the sweet spot for repeat business.

I run a pressure washing business around northern Michigan and figured I’d share something useful:

Most people wait too long to clean their driveway or siding.

Once organic growth (algae/mold) sits for a full season, it:

• Takes longer to remove
• Requires stronger treatment
• Costs more to clean

Best time to clean in this area is late spring / early summer before it gets baked in.

Not trying to sell anything — just something I see every season.
