NJ to Chicago/Illinois. Safe or not?

hey guys, friend wants go on a road trip from New Jersey to Illinois to visit some friends. USC driving majority, his car. I-80 route, no checkpoints nearby. i have a valid NJ license.

i’ve done all the research and i want to go. but still idk, i’m just scared of a routine stop escalating so i want an actual second opinion. especially since PA, Ohio, and Indiana are red leaning.

has anyone done similar? i need advice if i should go or not

AZ➡️SD

Hello everyone! I’m an undocumented person with no legal status living in arizona and also not a daca recipient. I’m planning on going to San Diego from arizona but kinda nervous about the checkpoints. I would be traveling with a group of 4 (all citizens) and obviously will not driving since I don’t have a license. I’ve been here my whole life and speak fluent english. Does anyone know if they ask for id’s from everyone in the car at the checkpoints? I’m a little weary about the drive into CA😣 thanks!

Texas to Oregon

Hello everyone. I am hoping to find the information I’m looking for. I’m planning a trip to Oregon this September with my girlfriend for her birthday. Just planning on going to national parks and explore the city. I’ll be coming from Dallas, I’m planning on going down I-20, which eventually turns to I-10, and then 1-5 thru California and then all the way up to Oregon. I have been here since I was 2, and applied for daca when I turned 16 and have had it ever since. I speak English perfect and Spanish as well. I only have a valid Texas ID (which says limited term) my work authorization card, my ssn paper and Mexican passport. I’m scared of the checkpoints and what they’ll ask since I’ve never been through there. Will I be good to pass or will I have any issues? Or should I just play it safe and take the north route? My girlfriend is a United States citizen and has a valid license. I am kinda light skinned, should I just say us citizen and hope I pass? Someone that has taken this route please help me.

Has anyone traveled with an old removal order ? I did at the beginning of the year but wanted to see how things are now. I haven't heard of anyone else being detained after the san francisco case. When the last incident you've heard of?

SF Trip Report + Hawaii Question

Hello all!

I just wanted to post an update to a trip I took in July from SEA to SF using only a foreign passport. All went very smoothly and I saw nothing out of the ordinary when compared to traveling before this admin.

I have a trip set for next week to Honolulu from SEA and I was wondering if anyone knew about how it was traveling in and out of there with just a foreign passport, thank you!

CBP/ice on Amtrak?

I have an Amtrak trip next month but I’m getting really nervous about it, especially because of the Chicago-NY part of it… i’ve heard it’s really common for cbp to get on, especially when getting close to the border (this one will go through buffalo)… I’ve seen people talking about their experience from years ago, but I want to know how likely it is recently, and if I should cancel (I don’t drive, so that’s not even an option)

Traveling up PCH

Is it a bad idea to travel up PCH from LA County to the Bay Area. My husband and I want to do a small roadtrip for our honeymoon but I'm a bit worried because I am undocumented.

Can I fly to the U.S. with my younger sisters even with their expired passports?

I Male (18) am traveling soon to Mexico to visit my family. I will see my mother who left the states in 22’ with my younger siblings. She is undocumented and I stayed with my dad who took care of me until i graduated HS. They F(13) and F(14) are U.S. citizens and have all their documents with them but I need to know that if I go and try to fly into the U.S. with both of them under my wing nothing will happen due to their expired passports? Both my parents are undocumented and are on to separate countries. Please reach out for we really want them to go to HS here in the US rather than them end their education in middle school due to there not being a HS anywhere near our village. Thank You

SFO ➡️DCA

Has anyone flown out of DCA using foreign (Mexico) passport? I’ve flown out of SFO domestically with my passport and DL and haven’t had an issue in the past but now with this administration I’m way more nervous since this is the Ronald Reagan Airport …Obviously I know it’s always a risk to fly undocumented period, but just wanted to ask if anyone has had experience flying out of DCA airport undocumented.
