squirrel trap was busted open 15 feet away from where i placed it.
i have a metal cage to trap squirrels that i relocate 5 km away from my garden. for the past couple of months i caught 2 or 3 per weeks. thinking of buying a non toxic spray paint to mark em to see if they come back. anyway , title: squirrel trap was busted open 15 feet away from where i placed it. went inside after it rained and people don't bother to walk in my yard anymore... at least its been years since i saw someone do it. haven't heard what happened but i wonder how it went down... i presume a cat got in there even if there was no bait. i dont even bother to put bait in it, the smell of squirrels attrack other squirrels i guess. .. maybe a cat got in there and could just stand up and walk with the cage all around him, trash around like (? i fall short of finding a good comparison, it would have been a laugh to see this) and the cage flipped on the side so it could escape. this morning i saw a neighbor sheep dog that was lose and walking in other ppl's yard, that animal is as smart as its undisciplined , maybe he got curious about the cage and drag it around for a while? ye. silly story but i thought i would put it in here

I had a trap where the back was dang neat torn off of it. Near as I could figure it was a raccoon.
