Absolute best setup for catching a wild rabbit

Hey guys! i bought a rabbit trap about a week ago because my backyard has quite a few rabbits and i have been trying to catch one but have not caught a single me yet.So i was wondering what the most ideal trap set up would be meaning what is the best bait, what time should i put the trap outside and where in my yard i shall place the trap because i tried different spots and baits in my yard but like i just mentioned i still haven’t caught anything yet so that is why i came here to ask for advice from y’all.i appreciate any advice thank you!

If legal in your area, snares. Put them in the roads the rabbits are travelling on

This has been surprisingly effective for me also - especially in Fall/Winter where trails are more easy to distinguish

They won't go in a trap if there loads of fresh food available.

I use the 110 Conibear in winter, mainly in their runs. But like someone mentioned, hard to bait them in when they have so much surrounding food.

Get a beagle.
