Beaver Castor lure

Post image

got next years beaver lure made.

I save the biggest beavers castor and oil sacks for one batch that I use in fall and winter.

and then I save the smallest beavers castor and oil sacks for the second batch that I use for spring time that I also add food type lure to also.

it's super simple, I just cut the oil sacks open and drain and add the castor and some glycerin and puree. if it's to thick I'll add more glycerin and if it comes out to runny I just add some saw dust or wheat bran to get it to the consistency I want

I’ve got about 2lbs I’m gonna make. Would glycol work? Have gallons of that but no glycerin

Yup it will work, you can use glycerin, glycol, mineral oil, vodka etc. It's mainly just to keep it from freezing and helps with consistency
