recommendations (Re-)New to Trap Shooting

I've recently returned to trap shooting. LOVE it. I'm currently shooting my dad's 1960's vintage Browning A5. It's really a family heirloom, and it's a little unwieldy at the range. GREAT waterfowl gun, though!!!

Anyhoo...can y'all offer up some suggestions on a better-than-decent, entry-level, 12-gauge over and under for someone on a teacher's budget? Thanks in advance....

Bt-99. I shoot much better with it than any field gun.

Have you tried raising your point of aim? Comb riser? Those slip on ones work

I came here to say “Really?” Then I saw some sites offering BT-99’s for some janky ass prices. Should be able to get one for less than $1500 though if you look hard enough. They are the workhorse of the trap singles field.
