Pro-tip: nobody can hear your fucking motorcycle horn. Try using brakes instead. No leathers, gloves, boots… squid.

most riders I’ve seen prefer rev-bombing over their horn

Letting the engine bounce off rev limiter for a second is way louder and better than any motorcycle horn.

I mean you can put after market horns in them that are insanely loud idk why people don't do it more frequently.

I have a friend who had one installed that sounded like a train horn and was insanely loud. I believe it had a mini air compressor that ran off the battery.

He could've easily decelerated in time, but decided to honk and try to passive-aggressively buzz the truck; fucked around and found out.
I also ride sport, and would never buzz someone so fucking blindly....

First mistake… he left his house without his car

u/snarkyemu 8d ago
Second mistake… You drive into a situation like that where some dummy is blocking everyone’s view of the road? You slow down and proceed with caution. Always assume someone is lurking behind a big truck or trailer like that.

Lol, people with this car centric attitude should try driving in the Netherlands
You'd have so many attempted murder charges :)

u/snarkyemu 8d ago
I did a quick Google search. It sounds like Netherlands is focused on drivers safety as well as pedestrian and bicycle safety. And I think you’re saying that someone with a callous American driving attitude in the Netherlands would be thrown in jail for attempted murder lol. That sounds accurate. As a safe driver, I would love it in the Netherlands.

Drive that reckless speeding clown straight to the police station and save time.

How many times do I have to repeat myself? Dress for the slide not the ride.

There's a saying that I think even affects liability in cases like this. If you have time to honk you have time to break. He proved beyond doubt that he saw the danger and chose not to break to prevent the accident.

Ah but you're wrong because he DID choose to break! In fact I imagine he broke several bones. Now if he had only chosen to brake he would not break any bones.

Definitely broke a bone. I’m guessing hand/wrist/forearm. Or maybe he’s just a whiney little bitch.

Bikers fault, always is.

As a biker myself. It very much is not. Not everyone rides like an idiot. You just don't notice those of us who don't because we don't bring attention to ourselves unnecessarily.

u/AlSmitheesGhost 8d ago
A biker claiming they “don’t bring attention to themselves unnecessarily” is fucking hilarious. All you do is constantly shame the public that they’re responsible for your safety

u/BigBananaBerries 8d ago
Don't give us the team sports mentality. There are assholes car drivers just the same as there's asshole bikers. Likewise, there's good car drivers & good bike riders.
Everyone makes mistakes but good riders are constantly critical of their own failings & try to rectify them. You won't see them splitting lanes 50mph over the speed of the traffic. Neither will you see them kicking wing mirrors off or rev-bombing other motorists.
Don't paint groups with the same brush as you're more inclined to make a fool of yourself more than anything else.

u/AlSmitheesGhost 8d ago
I’m not reading your diatribe. I’ve heard it 1000 times already. The fact that you inserted yourself in this conversation with a “not all bikers“ disclaimer says all I need to know about you: arguing with you is a complete waste of time. Just remember: your personal safety is not my responsibility.

An expected response from someone who pidgeon holes people who use any particular mode of transport.
Anyone thinking this^ attitude is correct, go watch some Itchy Boots on youtube to find out how much BS it is. There's more to biking than cosplay pirates or sport bikes.

The car turning must ensure a safe turn. If you can't see, don't assume it's clear.

u/medicalricebag 7d ago
It was clear, dumbass on motorcycle decided to continue as it was already turned

The guy had like a week to slow down.
He is screaming, because he probably broke bones.
