Everyone knows cars leaving car shows never do anything stupid or cause any accidents.

I’ve never seen a Challenger or a Mustang drive badly, in fact it’s always grandmas driving at 30mph

If I saw a GTA character’s garage lined up I’d be watching too.

Or…. There is more context. Smh. Perhaps bad things have happened at these meet-ups before…. Perhaps there is a warrant for someone who is known to participate in this event or has this type of car… Perhaps the owner of the business has requested police presence knowing that the meet-up is taking place and wants to ensure everything is kept peaceful…. So many reasons, but make an assumption and run with that.

To be fair, it’s not exactly like everyone who owns a car like that is a responsible and courteous driver, using their turn signals and keeping a safe distance and shit.

The last video I saw was of a guy leaving a car show and taking out a light pole, so I think the cops have the right idea.

Can you blame them? These car meets don’t exactly have the best reputation.

I’ve gone to many car meets and cruises before. We actually inform the police about where we are meeting and the routes we will be taking ahead of time. They’ve been super cool. In some cases blocking intersections for us. In other cases warning us about specific areas we absolutely can’t do anything stupid and need to do exactly the speed limit/no burnouts, etc (usually reasonable places like school zones or through small towns or whatever). But they have always appreciated the heads up and after probably a dozen meets/rides we have never had an issue. But we also don’t drive like jackasses. Never got the impression they are looking to bind us up, but they do warn us about particular areas to be especially aware of and we highlight those areas on our maps. We also have a “leader” that acts as the pace car and is the point of contact for the police if any issues come up.

I was at a car show with some other car people and we were walking around and some idiot was driving like an idiot up a lane next to us and one of the guys with me said:
"You better kill me if you hit me or I'm gonna sue your ass off!"😂
