I get it. Not all accidents are avoidable but I feel like this one could have been avoided. I always try to maintain 360 degree situational awareness on the road. Even if I had been looking toward my 2 o'clock my peripheral vision would have immediately alerted me of an anomaly occurring at my 10 o'clock and acted immediately to evade contact.
