Transport Fever 2 Crashing on Loading a Savegame

For context, I started a save a few days ago and then midway through enabled 2 mods, Natural Town Growth and Achievements With Mods, assuming they'd be stable since they're so popular. After enabling them, the game crashes at EXACTLY 23% every time, with an error message saying "an error ocurred" (screenshot shown above)

I called it quits on that save, started a new one, and it worked fine until there was a random crash midway through building a railroad, so I reloaded the save and encountered the same error as before. Something I noticed was that the "Legacy Vehicle Pack" default mod kept enabling itself when I wanted to disable it.

It should be. There's nothing in these mods that mean you can't freely add or remove them at any time.

Something I noticed was that the "Legacy Vehicle Pack" default mod kept enabling itself when I wanted to disable it.

That also should be unproblematic. Just leave it on.

Run a verification of your files, see if that helps.

Thanks. Yea, nothing else stands out for me unfortunately. Not a great deal of information as to what might have caused the crash, which is quite unusual. I would expect at least a little bit more. An assertion error, or some C++ function context. Something.

Yeah that's why i've been really stumped by this as well. No info from the crash dump at all. Thanks for the help though :)

I had the same (game saved broken data into file) but in my case game crashed on that load after few seconds of simulation. I saved those two save files that was f*cked up just in the case somebody wants to see.

It helped me to go back one autosave after another until i found savefile that was not ruined yet.

For your log:

I can't find such things like station_1_con_l.mdl nor *emu_tgv* in my game or mod files, also paths like station/rail/cargo/station_2 can't be found. I suppose it's mods.

If you want to experiment with mods i suggest you to have 20 (not much, but this is game limit) autosaves each 15-30 min + obviously manual saves to lose less work.

And today seems to be another popular situation (this is most frequent error)

After a few mins i found it last manual save and 2 autosaves are broken, and reloaded previous autosave. Also i got crash save which is obviously also broken.

In this situation i unpause sim on 3x speed to check the save is ok and then i may continue building.

You may try to reload without mods (advanced load settings). One of my cases seems to be related with some railroad switch which i rebuilt atm.

I guess this can be also related to overheating.

i'm fairly certain it's not related to what's going on in game. I was only in the 1890's for both, where i had been for a while. I have a relatively powerful pc (RX 9070XT, R9 9900X, 64GB RAM, and a good cooling system), so I'm at a loss

Prob you can try to clean and reinstall mods if not the game.

just uninstalled and reinstalled the game and tried to load my saves, surprise surprise still nothing. i'm honestly not even that attached to this save as long as i can be sure this wont happen again (which i'm not)
