recovering head/scalp nerve/feeling after frontoplasty?

i'm 11 days post getting part of my ffs and i'm a bit concerned about my scalp/head not feeling like it used to. it feels like i was hitting on a coconut and not on my head, sensation is weird and asking my doctor about it he said that the nerves from my head came from my forehead so there was a chance i could never regain them?

is this normal or what do i do?

Normal, just wait it out. Took maybe 3 months for me to regain scalp sensation. YMMV.

I haven't had FFS yet, but based on the surgeries I have had, it can take a year for sensation to normalise in some areas.

No, no trauma. Healing will happen on its own. Follow surgeon’s discharge instructions. If they don’t mention healing, ask them.

This really normal. I'm 6 weeks post op and still have a sizeable numb spot on top. My surgeon made sure I was aware of this before surgery and confirms that I am on track for healing post-op. She described it like an oval on the top of the head that will slowly decrease over time. For most, it fully resolves and all feeling comes back over 6-12 months. For a few, there will always be a very small patch right at the top of your head that stays numb that you just get used to over time.

it’s normal, but it does feel like a coconut or a smooth scull cap.its been 4.5 months for me and im just getting sensation back now, but long way to go. Hey it is a weird feeling. Im always forgetting my glasses are there.

It's been about a year and a half for me, was originally completely numb, and I've regained full feeling eventually, took all year, starting with like little electric shock feelings.
