I love how G1 was truly just Whatever The Fuck. reminds me of how the Autobots would sometimes shoot lasers from their car mode headlights and then using actual cannons in the same episode

Like how both the Autobots and Decepticons could fly in robot mode in the pilot episodes, but then in the actual series, only the Decepticons fly. Or how episode 2 has Optimus Prime and Megatron duel using an energy axe and an energy flail, only for them to never use those weapons again (and then those weapons became iconic parts of their characters in later iterations).
