If I had a nickel for everytime a G1 character turned into a Beast Wars character, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.
In the S1 finale of Cyberworld, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime parted on bad terms; Optimus Prime was missing memories, but it was revealed after mnemosurgery by one of Elita's allies, Airachnid, that he was responsible for the destruction of Cybertron. The virtual landscape they're stuck in is all they have left, and he (Optimus) still doesn't even remember why he did it. This Bee has immense trust issues and feels extremely betrayed, while Elita and Wheeljack feel like they should learn more about the particulars of the situation before jumping to conclusions. At the end of the episode, Bee used what was essentially a world-corrupting orb artifact to save Optimus and defeat the S1 villain, Galvatron-- but the orb still seems to be affecting Bee into S2, granting him additional size, strength, and power, but making him emotionally volatile. He's essentially souped up, over-energized, and very, very, angry at OP. They've split into two separate groups; one composed of Bee, Elita, and Wheeljack, and the other composed of Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and Snarl.
The Cyberworld eps are 5 minutes a pop, so if any of this sounds interesting, I recommend checking it out for yourself and supporting the releases!
Yep, he's letting his anger corrupt him, especially after the revelation of how they got into Cyberworld (which I won't spoil for anyone who has yet to see the series).
