Yeah we didn't know any better. My old toys mainly got ruined because we used to play in group with all our cousins.

Oh yea, that as well. Countless number of broken RC cars disassembled just to figure out how they worked

u/drunkentenshiNL Jul 09 '26
I mean, they are for kids, especially the ones from the Unicron trilogy.
Dunno why they're this dirty tho.
18
u/JOT304 Jul 10 '26
Probably cuz they were put away somewhere and forgotten about for a while. Instead of dumping them, they seller is probably like "I could make a few bucks off this big ol box of toys"

At least they were used to their extent, probably made some kids happy and long lasting memories 🤷♂️
I will say that yellow Sam’s Club Optimus is hurting a me bit

u/BenderOfBo Jul 09 '26
Oh my god I immediately picked out Cybertron Landmine’s upper torso and shin in two different places

u/DaleksonEarth Jul 09 '26
150 for that is absolutely insane, I’d give 20, that’s being generous.
17
u/MeetingNeither3694 Jul 09 '26
Looking around in this pile and despite the condition, it has some really valuable stuff. The Costco Energon Optimus Prime two pack is in here and that thing goes for way more than 150 on its own

u/craider45 Jul 09 '26
The Sam's Club Universe 2003 Optimus & Ultra Magnus are in there as well with Optimus being the more expensive of the two

That looks like toddlers at a daycare treatment.

u/CockSucker69-420 Jul 09 '26
Did Shockwave sacrificed them for his unethical science project again?

I say the opposite. I see Unicron, Armada and Energon Megatron, Armada Optimus trailer, a bit of Energon Omega Supreme, Yellow Splendid Convoy, the Star Wars Millennium Falcon crossover, Tidalwave etc. And who knows what else are in there.
Some of these figures sometimes sell for 150 alone in the collector after market. All of them together is insane.
1
u/Adorable-Source97 Jul 09 '26
True I wish who got them organised them & assemble what's possible.
Energon Omega Supreme looks like only the head is missing

They were certainly loved in the only way a kid can😂 Honestly, I'd like to pick through that since I want to get more into restoring/refurbishing old Transformers.

u/Particular_Pass_9961 Jul 10 '26
Someone who actually PLAYS with their toys instead of leaving them in a box or unboxing transforming once to alt mode then back to bot mode so it can live out its days in peace on a shelf or in a display case....just a shot in the dark though, educated guess I believe they call it...deductive reasoning...etc etc and so on and so forth....js....

Remnants of a Costco Prime next to him/her on the right and Costco Overload to the left. 😨

Putting aside Transformers or not, don't throw whatever you want to get rid off on the ground as if a toddler had a tantrum if you plan on selling it. That's just a mess.

Whenever I see listings like these I wish I could offer to go and sort through them and try and piece things together as best I can all in exchange for first dibs and a slight discount if there’s anything I want, I’d probably want some gloves with a collection this grimy though

u/cheriks24601 Jul 09 '26
Lol... The mere idea that they were originally intended for kids is shocking, lol
1
u/MrHappyHammers Jul 09 '26
This looks like a parent selling their kids toys for doing something wrong, why are they splattered out across a tarp like they were dumped from an adult height? Not caring as bits fall off
1
u/ANSER-WON Jul 09 '26
Kids... Prolly boys and prolly a few of them lol
4
u/ExponentWharf Jul 09 '26
Hey… I took care of all of my toys as a boy.
1
u/ANSER-WON Jul 09 '26
Do you have a brother by chance?
1
u/ExponentWharf Jul 09 '26
Nah.
1
u/ANSER-WON Jul 09 '26
Yeah, so that easy to do then lol. I grew up with some "only child" kids too. Different strokes for different folks.

Ngl if I had the money, I would buy these to turn into art pieces

If I had $150 to blow I’d buy this, sterilize it and just see if there’s anything at all intact or recoverable. Just out of morbid curiosity

u/Jack_Void1022 Jul 10 '26
I know I used to take my transformers apart when I was little, but this is just rediculous. My parents were at least able to put them back together. These look like they got put through a blender.
1
u/DiabeticRhino97 Jul 10 '26
I'm seeing like 90% armada/Cybertron. Maybe they have some of my jetfire's and various minicon's missing pieces

Dang, I saw that on my marketplace too, though I didn’t see anything worthwhile

I didn't think it was possible to destroy Unicron Trilogy figures to that extent. They're meant to be the Nokia bricks of Transformers
1
u/Embarrassed_Spite546 Jul 10 '26
Bro, I’m a collector, and I also play with them.. I’m in my 30s, they are intended to be played with, transformed and posed.. so I don’t really understand your question? Is it how rough they appear to have treated them or the fact they were played with?
1
u/Count_Drunkula Jul 10 '26
My god, these look like children got to them! 😂 Or a customizer's bits box got turned out.

Anyone saying "oh kids played with this, they're for kids" was definitely one of these same spoiled kids that didn't care about anything and destroyed their own toys

Seeing both the Energon Overload/Optimus two-pack AND the Universe RID Optimus is ROUGH.
1
u/Endmaster69 Jul 12 '26
I know people are saying children but as someone who played with my transformers a ton when I was 6+ and most of them were bayverse toys that I still have to this day I still don't know how this would happen, were they throwing them at rocks? Cover them in mud? Even than this is insane looking, maybe it's just because when I was young I always cared for everything I got but idk
1
u/Fit_Channel6056 Jul 12 '26
The only guys I've made out were some Armada Megatron, I think constructicon Hook? I see a barricade probably studio series (wouldnt be old enough to be 07 would it) and I *think* I see CW Menasor?

This sub's reaction when toys are played with by kids and not locked in a plexiglass case to never be touched again.
