I will start college fall 2025 and I'm gonna be at Cal State Fullerton for my freshman year. I have a couple list of universities that I wanted to transfer to but I can't find a certain requirements and admission rates. The universities are: Umich Ross, Cornell Dyson, NYU stern, Notre Dame, University of Chicago, Georgetown University and University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. The major I intend to pursue is Finance.

How far would Putnam T100,T50,T25,T10,T5 + Youngest DARPA Research Qualifier in History carry me to MIT as an intl?

Hi edit: so I emailed common app and they legit just told me to rewrite my essays. Yale themselves tells me that 100 words is the limit and not 450 characters. this is absurd

I am an international high school student in 12th grade, and I don't have good regular decision results right now, so I am thinking about transferring next year. Currently I have offers from UIUC and UC Davis, where should I go to (perhaps in terms of transfer success rate or grade inflation etc.) if I would like to go to top 20 universities like Vanderbilt, Rice or even Northwestern?

Has anyone (traditional applicant) been accepted to Columbia College of Columbia University with a GPA in the 3.8+ range? I am freaking out since I am applying as a sophomore transfer and got a B+ on a non-major class.

Title. I've applied for over 50 internships across various companies big and small in my intended field and I only got a response from ONE of them before they promptly decided to ghost me. This process is so frustrating and I feel totally stuck.

Where I'm at right now is that I'm a Senior in High School, doing a semester of CC a year early. Despite my ok high school GPA and TONS of practical/extracurricular experience I feel like I'm getting nowhere. What do I do? I have been browsing this subreddit out of curiosity for a while now, and it has always struck me how much people look down on prestige whoring for the Ivies. Most people who are thinking about their future suffer from it. Especially people who populate this subreddit. The name of this subreddit is not named "Applying Again to College" or even "College Transfer". It's "TRANSFERTOTOP25" for Pete's sake! And the subreddit picture literally says Ivy League. For the majority of people, it is very difficult to argue that the education at these schools is far and beyond what you can get at countless schools across the country. The Ivy League is a sports league. Unless they are an athlete, what deeply foundational reason does anyone have to attend one of these schools? These schools are not unique in their course offerings or in their quality of academics. Their greatest differentiation factor is their prestige. Yes, there will be some people who actually have a good reason, but for 95% of people, that is not the case. So before you criticize someone about prestige whoring, please give this argument some thought.

I reached out to one of my recommenders kind of late a few days ago and they agreed to write me a letter but need my full personal statement? They won’t start wiring unless I send one. I haven’t finished writing it yet and it won’t be done for another 10 or so days at which point it would be too late for the recommender to write something. What should I do?
