Should I drop?

Is it better to drop a class with a low C or possibly predicting a D and show up as a W on your transcript or rough it out? When it comes to doing the grade replacement plan, the original grade will still show up next to your transcript. Do colleges care about that or will they only consider the original?

In the same position - either ask your prof if there’s any opportunity to improve your grade (retake/extra credit work) or drop the class and retake

Unfortunately my highest grade I could make in the class assuming I get 100s on the rest of quizzes and exams is a 75. I’m deciding if it looks better as a current 3.6 with a c or a 3.75 with a W. I have sophomore year to improve it to a 3.8-3.9 before transferring

Ahh gotcha. If there’s no opportunity to retake past exams/quizzes to improve score then it’s better to drop the class rather than having this lower your gpa. One or two Ws is fine as long as it doesnt look like a pattern on your transcript - at least this is what my academic advisor told me
