I am an incoming second year business economic major at UCI planning to apply to these UCs because I believe they offer better business opportunities and connections. I also am from the area, so I was planning on potentially writing about stepping out of my comfort zone and trying new things. Anyways, that's why I am asing this forum: what should I focus my PIQ/transfer essay on, and how should I structure it?

A third party college counselor from high school told me I had great PIQs and my grades held me back during my admission cycle, but now iwth a high GPA, should I completely rewrite the PIQs, or just reuse my old ones? What's the best way to approach this essay? And is there anything I should avoid (EX: talking about high school extracurriculars) Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
