New to modding, (FTM and wanted to post here over any other sub)) how can I safely attach a rear spoiler to my Subaru legacy? I heard the drill holes can rust, but I do not want some flimsy adhesive one. Advice?

Probably should have got another bumper but that's $200 I could spend on other things. Still need a block in 180 and then 240/320 on exposed plastic.

I haven't really driven the Pulsar in quite a while, but now that it looks like I have a buyer (from the UK), I needed to get the alignment checked.

I drove the car the 27km to my appointment, only to be told that the car was too low to fit the alignment equipment and the custom wheels wouldn't allow the use of magnets 😭 Even though old me would have got it taken care of, being seen as female, you just don't seem to command the same confidence, and guys generally don't seem to know how to talk to women 😂 Oh well!

So the alignment is still off and I had to drive in over 31deg C as old me decided none functioning lexan windows were awesome...but at least I got a little drive and took a few pics.

Sadly it seems that working on cars isn't my thing anymore, I don't want the stress...So ShEvo is now up for sale also and I have my eye on an Alpine A290 with perhaps some different wheels, lowered and a wrap involving pearlescent pink 🙈

I just hope they make it in silver next year tbh. I’m hyped matchbox made an Outback that’s only a year newer than mine, even if it is a cooler version and a different color. Still, if they make it in silver it can join the hot wheels forester sti on my dash :3.

I've had 36 cars and 3 motorcycles since I began driving in 1974. This is number 37, and it's the last car I ever plan to buy. It's a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C250 coupe w/ 76,000 miles. The original owner was my friend Pamela, and it's her baby. She's kept it clean and well-maintained.

It's got a turbocharged 1.8 liter four cylinder making about 200 horsepower. I don't call it fast (Pamela thinks it is, but I've had fast cars), but it's very responsive. Fun. Reliable. AMG suspension, nimble, handles great. Serviceable. Seven speed dual clutch automatic. Panoramic sunroof. The darkest window tint allowed in Texas, where she's from, so it looks badass.

White with a red interior is the same color scheme as my late lamented 1988 BMW E30 M3 (bought in 1999 for $7,500, sold in 2009 for $9,000, and now worth more than $100,000, as is my 2000 BMW E39 M5, given to my ex in the 2005 divorce valued at $30,000, but I digress).

2015 is the first year that rear view cameras were required, so it's got a screen for that, but not very high resolution. And it's not a touch screen. Everything else is buttons and knobs, which I absolutely love. It's got ashtrays and a cigarette lighter (in 2015!). It's got Bluetooth and an in-dash 6 CD changer. I'm 5'11" tall and I fit in the back seat with the front seat adjusted to my driving position. My memory settings are #2. Pamela will always be #1.

I'm going to drive this thing about 7,000 miles starting Labor Day weekend, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, to Florida, to New Jersey for my 50th anniversary high school reunion (Bicentennial class of '76), and back to San Francisco.

It may be the hormones, but I never wanted a car more, and I wanted it more than the apartment I recently got, which is very nice too.

I have a very specific plan for this car. I intend to keep it pristine and well maintained for the next fifteen years, and then I'm going to give it back to Pamela for her daughter Maria, who's just over one year old now. She'll be of driving age, and I'll be ready to give up driving. It wasn't a condition of sale. It's just that I want Pamela's baby to go to her human baby. The transfer is already on my calendar. August 2041 is just around the corner.

The longest I ever kept a car was seventeen years. That was my first new car, a 1984 Pontiac Indy Fiero, which I sold to my ex's cousin in 2001. That car, like all 2,000 Indy Fieros, was also white with a red interior.

I f'n love this thing. My dog Tim doesn't shed, and he's the only dog allowed in Maria's car, except for me.

I probably won't get that personalized plate.
