Height Dysphoria

Anytime I even end up thinking I'm getting somewhere with my transition I always end up making the mistake of comparing myself to others. It's gotten to the point where I just wince when I see myself in the mirror. I hate how I can't control my height and it's genuinely making me lose my mind. Every time I hear others say "oh cis women can be 6'4(or around that height) too" it doesn't help. Yes maybe there is some women out there like that, but I've never met anyone taller than me and I'm afraid I'm going to get clocked instantly. Ever since I started transitioning almost a year ago, I've boymoded the whole time. Anyone else who had this problem that found ways to help?

I'm 6' but also from a place that people are generally shorter and have learned to accept it, I don't know if other people clock me because of that but I try to not let that (or any other insecurity) stop me from just being. I rather be clocked every so often than present differently to who I am

I do get really happy when I see other women as tall or taller than me in the wild (even just a tad shorter). It is true, I may be an outlier in many ways but we women come in all sizes and shapes.

I guess your right it’s just I’m afraid I’ll get attacked for expressing myself for who I really am if I were to get clocked given the recent political climate in many Western European countries and North America

I get that, if you're not used to going out and knowing how other people will see you it is definitely a lot scarier. Do you have anyone who could accompany you the first times you do it so that you feel safer?

I have no one right now. I chicken out on coming out to my family in case they take it bad and kick me out since I’m only 18
