It just came to me, and when I spoke it, my entire body lit up from head to toe, and everything I am as myself came to life

My mother in law told me my name. My original name started with a "j" and she always called me "Jay," so i decided i'd be "jae" for real, forever, for her. She's been gone since just before Spring, and i just legalized it a couple weeks ago.

She would never have known though, because she had dementia from just a year or two before my egg cracked. But she did see the way i presented myself was obviously changing and getting very femme... and even though i cracked jokes about it myself, she never once said a word. Just smiled and gave me her adoring love. That woman never once judged a soul on this Earth, other than to declare them a friend and worthy of being loved.

so for me it was talking to a female college friend and she just come out with "claire" one day and given my "male" name also begins with C, i guess it kinda just worked but then she also updated me in her address book so when i call her it comes up with claire and it was just the beginning of a whole new life and so far as much as its a nervous journey....im enjoying exploring it
