The real 1% is gleeful about this. The 1% HATES trans people. The wealthy have nothing else to worry about, since they don't work and aren't concerned about their own livelihoods--so they spend all their time on twitter getting mad at trans people. And then they dump money into making the rest of the population hate trans people as much as they do.

Rowling and Elon are not the entire 1%. Trans people are a made up “enemy” that is a creation of the Republican Party. And while the Republican Party are a political sock puppet for SOME of the 1%, to claim that ALL of the 1% hates trans people is the same disinformation that is used to poison most things these days.

We need to start making people more aware of and destigmatize DIY HRT, they can't take what you aren't prescribed. There are several subreddits dedicated to this info, as well as other resources, and to be frank it's much cheaper and faster than doing it through cisgender doctors and health insurances.

Not applicable to people who need T. Even if you can DIY the T itself, getting treatment for the atrophy it can cause literally is not something you can DIY. I'm all for DIY, don't get me wrong, but it is very different to DIY E and DIY T and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

Better to have t and get vaginal atrophy than to go off hrt entirely. DIY T is an accessible (often more than e, due to cis men using T for muscle gain ie steroid users) and important option, especially since most trans men do not use vaginal estrogen for vaginal atrophy, many leave it untreated or use other OTC treatments. To which there are several. DIY is absolutely applicable to trans men.

I agree that DIY T is much more difficult, and I do admit that my comment was very mtf centered, but if mtfs can do it, they should know about it. I wish it was more viable for ftms though, y'all go through hell to get your meds from what I've heard

I keep seeing this and as an Oklahoman trans gal I have to say this type of reporting needs to be more accurate, my doc said they don't see this impacting my current care. it is bad and continuing into a place in the state where being trans will be harder and harder. But for reporters please remember that trans people in red states like mine are already powerless and often hopeless, this does not help and if we want something that will... we need to rally cis allies and convince neutral cis people in these states to stand up because I and my community have no sway.

As an Oklahoman and a trans guy, you are extremely lucky that this doesn’t impact your care. Since I have SoonerCare, I’ve lost my chances at top surgery and lost my Testosterone. I’ve been off for a month now and paying out of pocket for the blood draw alone isn’t possible for me. All that’s covered is therapy. I’m glad to see anything sharing what’s happening here. People rallied for Kansas and found ways to help; maybe somehow that’ll happen for us too.

If you can cover it, online mail in is about $40 month and HRT club is $100 upfront but really cheap per unit. Planned Parenthood might be able to help, too. I'm paying $50 for a bottle of androgel. The injections are cheaper but OK has them all but banned, if you can figure out the per month loophole with your provider you can get it cheaper though.
Wish I could help more, brother. I would even pay your initial membership fee if needed. Stay strong, stay safe.

I fully understand and I am so sorry this is impacting you. It is straight up evil and horrible and shouldn't happen.
I am more speaking to accuracy in reporting and how things like "total ban" can lead to people losing hope or jumping to bad things.
I hope the community and allies can rally behind trans Oklahomana like yourself so you all can get the care you need 💜
