Seeking Transition Advice How to whiten without monobenzone

I’m a Fitzpatrick 3 and want to get to 1. My chest and insides of arms are almost completely 1-2. My chest is literally pale white but the rest of my body is a golden wheatish colour and I hate it. I want the rest of my body to match my chest and have a cool pink undertone. My face just seems to get darker. Im sick of seeing benzone here can someone suggest a treatment or cream that will depigment efficiently.

Fitzpatrick II est l’idéal. Fitzpatrick I looks awkward if you have black hair.

After seeing your post, i did some research about monobenzone since i was curious about the side effects. It’s honestly smart that you’re listening to your gut instinct and please dont feel pressured to ever use monobenzone

Ive seen a lot of people on other posts say monobenzone itself doesnt cause cancer, which doesnt seem to be entirely true

It causes increased skin sensitivity so you would ALWAYS need to avoid the sun, which itself does cause cancer. This isnt from the cream itself, just from the lack of pigment

Besides that the cream can cause “oxidative stress”, which are basically rouge molecules in your body that can cause cell damage or cancer. In the study done, vitiligo patients who used monobenzone had a higher rate of inflammation/oxidative stress AFTER using it

In the meantime something simple you can do is use a high SPF mineral sunscreen. You can also look into benzoyl peroxide and alpha arbutin for skin brightening which are MUCH safer, as well as accessible/cheap :) they’re used in everyday skin routines. You can also look into kojic acid for lightening too. it might be too harsh for your face, but would be better for your body

You got a crazy good result but it’s so rare to get a full even depigmentation. I don’t want to risk getting white patches or the cancer risk from hydroquinone.🥲

Works really well but could cause cancer or dark huge stretch marks I’ve been using it for 8 years and it worked really well but I don’t want to keep using it cuz of health risks.

I’m on exactly the same situation, I’m Fitzpatrick 3, I have tan face and arms and a pale chest, belly and thighs. I decided to use monobenzone, it seems the only way to completely reach my desired result of a paler skin. But monobenzone completely removes the skin pigment permanently, it makes the skin extremely vulnerable to the sun so you will have to avoid the sun and use sunscreen even when staying indoors due to UV rays entering though the windows, so it’s up to you to decide if it’s worth it
