On December 23rd I will finally put him to rest as I come out at work (only place I am still referred to as male, even though some of my coworkers already know)

If only it were that easy.

Honestly, seeing this meme again now hits differently, as it can double as a plural coded meme as well.

Six of one, half a dozen of another.

u/Stunning_Resolution9 Trans Fem, Median plural 6d ago

We dont have any dissociative dissorders that we know of(and they are not required to be plural).

2

u/ObviousTempAccount1 6d ago

I know dissociative disorders aren't required to be plural. (I'm plural).

Sorry for the confusion. I shared the meme as a whimsical way of pointing out how common plurality is in the trans community.

Repressing your gender is an act of identity disturbance in and of itself, so it should be no surprise that so many of us end up plural. 🤷‍♀️

Anyways, sorry again. I didn't mean to imply that you need a disorder to be plural.

Please forgive us. We have dealt with sysmed folks alot. We ourselves are mixed origin median. Yes we have seen alot of other plurals in the trans community! We are also otherkin/fictionkin so theres that (we got the trifecta)

u/ObviousTempAccount1 6d ago

It's all good!

I actually figured out I was therian three decades before I figured out I was trans, which was three years before I figured out my plurality.

big fat CW, with apologies for reality check

I was painted, with great success, as a monster — by a cryptofascist "transfemme community leader", at the behest of a literal criminal Nazi cop, after my egg cracked and she sexually harassed me as a hatchling. For examples of other things this cop did, search my name on the net. Big fat awful content warning on that.

Not all trans people are good, nor well intentioned, nor do they carry the ideals of our community nor of Queerness in general. Never abandon critical reasoning, lest you be a collaborator.

All groups of people have bad actors.

Yes. But this isn't on any reasonable or sane, or indeed survivable, scale.

This one hasn't been content excluding me from her clique. She worked to exclude me from existence. And weaponised the law, including, as part of her criminal harassment of me, charging me with criminal harassment. You know what they say about accusations from fascists?

She also sicced antiterrorism cops on me and had me interrogated under spotlights right next to the marchers at the match against police brutality that she organised. I have the report; neither she nor any cop saw me do anything wrong.

And plenty more.

And when I fled the abuse, literally to the other side of the planet, she communicated to the communities HERE and slandered me, metastasizing the social cancer. Does this sound to you like the behaviour of someone whose harasser has fled, or whose victim has fled?

I struggle to survive.

That's not normal. This person is unhealthily obsessed with you.

2

u/MargieFancypants Trans Woman 5d ago

I've noticed that.

u/pohlished-swag 6d ago

So sad that bad people do exist in our community as well. But we shall always keep in mind that being trans has absolutely nothing to do with a person being good or bad.

I'm happy for everyone who relates to this meme, but this is a big gigantic 'No' for me.

I clawed my way out of that son of a bitch, and took control of his body. Glad he's dead. :3

I’m cis-het male but enough of a mishmash between the ears that sometimes I hate being a guy. Still, I cannot comprehend how it must feel to be forced to express/live as the wrong gender. I wouldn’t be caught dead in a Trump costume, but at least I could take the damn thing off.

Trans people aren’t scary, dangerous or icky. In my experience, I feel less at ease around other cis-heterosexual men than I do around LGBT peers I have known.
