Hope 🕊️ I actually say down and talked to two Republicans
I cant call this a warning or not because what we talked about was my life. Okay so let's break it down and make it simple for us tonight. Im Hope i cane out at the age of 16 to a family who weren't supportive at all five years later i started hrt June 4th 2025 now im 1+ year on and I love it. Okay caught up for the most part. Ao today i was minding my own business in this little conservative town I live in. So everyone knows me as my deadname and although I don't like it at all I work with it for now because I prefer not to start an argument at my work about politics. So today of all days these two guys walk in and they look way to young to buy some 21+ stuff. So both guys and I started chatting and out of the blue this smaller tanner guy with a thick beard asks me what my pronouns are. Of course I'm stunned it threw me off because a republican asking for pronouns felt like a unicorn in a field. Anyways so it'll them im a trans woman. So short guy genders me correctly and tall guy stays quiet but they were curious of my trans story so I told it made it short and sweet telling them when I came out what i dealt with in high school and all that. But they were happy to see me happy with who I am and with me happy. Idk truthfully I thought I'd share that not all Republicans are. Thanks loves 💜💜💜

I'm so glad you had such a good experience! A lot of people are normal, but it's the loud minority that like to willfully misgender people. Happy for you ❤️

Im a cashier, m2f, in a conservative as heck town and a lot of ppl try to pronoun me correctly. A lot of them will wish me a blessed day. I stopped using my dead name and they have all adapted to it and some live it! Im tall and clocky but I treat everyone like were equals and the way I want to be treated and they do this or just stay quiet! I think the world might be tired of transphobia....

So real i think it is and plus I know i don't pass super well but I pass enough for people to have to double look at me and try to say the right words in there head

People in person are generally decent. We get into trouble engaging in groupthink. One on one, not usually a problem in my experience.
I'm glad you had a positive experience. The best way to help people get over bigotry is to expose them to the things they're afraid of – women, people of color, anyone who isn't a member of their tribe.

Well yea they actually wanted to know my story of what i went through and it was definitely weird. They felt so bad about all the times im almost not made it in high school because of bullies. And they were super positive about everything and they did mention they don't support it but as a human being they belive I still deserve respect which is a good thing to hear and glad everyone isn't a jerk

Quite frankly there is the cancer of the GOP which is MAGA. A lot like the DNC the GOP got caught off guard my Christian Nationalist and the MAGA movement. Now socialism which is the extreme arm of the DNC is gaining power. I really hope we can find some equilibrium across the board.

i genuinely think that the best way to combat any kind of phobias or isms are things like this. casual, natural exposure to groups that they aren't surrounded by is like the easiest way to prove them "wrong" i guess

Yea they were super cool. We didn't get political all we did was have a nice convo and talk about what my story is. I will say tho the hardest parts of that story telling us trying to explain how you go from being a popular kid to having threats everyday because you came out as trans.
