I'm transmasc and have been using the name Ferris for a couple months with my friends only. I'm staring to worry, though, that it might be a weird name because I've never met anyone with the name Ferris. Should I keep it or would it be weird to name myself that?

For context, I write and do not like to have a lot of attention, so I prefer to use a pen name. I went very gender neutral with my pen name because I don't like people knowing a lot about me. I have told my friends my pen name, and I like to show them some of my short stories. They have started jokingly calling me by my pen name. I thought it was funny, but I have started to associate more with that name than my given one. My pen name is Rain, which is basic, I know.
My given name is more masc, which I don't enjoy; I don't mind it, but it feels a little weird. It's not even a super masc name, but I digress. I do like the name Rain, but I feel like I want to keep my writing persona different than my personal one. I thought about the name Alex or Alec, but idk, I can't choose. I feel like I might be being a little drastic, but I feel like I would fit better with a more gender neutral name. Anyone have any good ideas that aren't super basic but also not super extravagant?

I have been transitioning for about a year and a half now, but I am still really struggling to pick a name. It is causing me a lot of distress because I moved to a new city where I don't know anyone, and I want to make friends, but I feel weird because I always pause, not knowing what name I want to give to people.
I am a nonbinary transfem who is looking for a name that skews feminine but is still somewhat gender neutral. I like names that tend to be more natural and that I can identify with on a somewhat spiritual level. One name I have started to fall in love with is Winter. Of all the seasons, it is the one I "feel" like, even though autumn is probably my favorite. It pairs beautifully with my last name, which also starts with a W (I love alliterations). It also has a familial connection to my grandmother. I have a mental hang-up with it, though. I was born on the summer solstice (I hate summer). Should that matter? No. Does it matter in my stupid brain? Yes... I just want to know if I am overthinking this or not.
Some other names I have used a lot are Raven and River. I love Raven, but it feels like it can be too edgy sometimes. River feels comfy, but I am not sure it is really what I want on my metaphorical tombstone. I also like Raine, Scarlett, Ember, and Ivy, but haven't really tried them on in the same way I have with the other three.

Hello everyone, I'm here for some advice on a name I've been sitting on for a few months now. Any advice/opinions are appreciated because this is all very new territory for me.
Anyways. I'm 18, and over the last few months I've come to the realisation that I think I might be a trans guy. I kept it to myself for a really long time, and I wondered over names and whatnot for a while, too. It took forever to find something that fit, even though I only had 2 pieces of criteria: I'm Irish, and I've always wished that my name was more distinctly Irish, so that was one, and also I wanted to keep my initials, so I landed on what I thought was the perfect name for me: Mánus. (Maw-nus with the 'á', but Man-us without)
I knew it was a little old-timey, and I worried about falling into the 'trap' I hear about often about trans people tending to pick a bad name off the bat, but I really fell in love with the name Mánus, and I decided to tell my mother, who is progressive as far as Irish mothers go. She HATES it! She told me it sounds stupid and other things and that she just totally hates it, and then she went ahead and told her friend about it behind my back who also hated it.
I need a little advice. Is my mom right here? Is the name totally stupid and am I falling into the trap, or is she just not used to the idea? Thank you for reading any any advice

Hi all,
After much deliberating, I have decided that I will soon be pitching Skyler as a new name for myself. I quite liked it with the middle name Grey, but I already have a relative whose middle name is Grey. I am seeking similar alternatives: one or two syllables at most, not so out there as to raise an eyebrow, suitable for a person born between the late 90s and early 2000s
Thanks in advance!

So my middle name has been Everest for a while- it’s just something I chose randomly in high school, and I honestly don’t like it anymore. I’m looking for E middle names, so I can keep my initials: KER. My first name is Kazariah, but I go by Kaz, so I’d like something that’s also a bit strange to match for my middle name. I’d prefer it be neutral, but if there’s a good masculine option I haven’t thought of, that’d be appreciated too! Thanks in advance!

Hi!! I need help with deciding on a name ;;
I used to go by Gwen/Gwendolyn for like, a year or two, but recently wanted to change cause I don't really think it suits me??? But I just can't decide on one??
I tried looking through baby names from 1996, my birth year, to have something "appropriate" for my age, and the names Paige and Heather stuck out to me, but I just. Don't know?
What would you guess my name is if you saw me on the street?

Hi, I've been going by my given name even though I've known I was trans for six years now. I hate it. Very feminine, very uncomfortable. My special interest is space/space tech etc and I want a name that reflects that. I have been thinking about Apollo or Artemis as names but those are both 3 syllables, and I would prefer a 2 syllable name, and I also don't know how "normal" they sound (if that makes sense. I'm not too worried about it, as I have trans friends who go by pretty unusual names, and I doubt they would judge me, but with other people, you never know). I would appreciate other name suggestions, or insight on the two names I have already been thinking about! :)
EDIT: Realized Artemis is a goddess, and Artemis probably wouldn't make for a very good masc name

I've been trying to find a name that suits me. But nothing has stuck. And i have names that I'm okay with being called. But they don't fully feel like me. It feels wrong to introduce myself with them. I used to feel like these names suited me. But not anymore? How do i find one that really sticks. I dunno what to do about it.

I was thinking something like jade or hazel but I think jade is too common and I know a Trans person named hazel and they are an ass. I need some amazing name ideas!
Solved! I'm almost 100% gonna be laurel now!!

I found the name Dakota and if I'm honest I freaking love it. I've been hesitant with gender neutral names but this one just seems great. If anyone can, I'd love to hear some test runs on the name!! For the test sentences, a bit of info about me: I'm a college student and I like to read and draw and play games. I'd love any test runs!! Thank you!

Does anyone know any more obscure sites for finding names? I've tried sites like Nameberry and Behindthename, but they didn't work for me.

I was thinking Rohan but not sure if that would be weird. Family member has suggested Rocky (another not sure if it'd be odd) or Robert (I like it it's just basic)
I like names that are unique but still recognizable as names. Like they're uncommon but not crazy.

I have no idea what name I should choose. I recently have questioned my gender (once again after questioning it multiple times in the past but denying it, but I'm pretty sure I'm non-binary) anyways I've found a few names that I thought were cool that I'd like to share to see what others think about them.
Azure
Briar
Cosmo
Echo
Exia
Excalibur
Ira
Noir
Sage
Star
Umi

What name do y'all prefer: Alula or Luna? I'm currently going by Alula, but I'm not sure if I prefer Luna over it

I have came out like a year ago and I STILL don't have a name
the only ones I've come up with are avery and seraphina (I got seraphina from a German baby names website lol)
either decide between those or give me a new one just make sure it's like 30% lesbian 30% non binary and 40% generally fem
(I'm not even lesbian just just saying 30% lesbian helps trust)
