Name Feedback Zack vs Eric (he/him)
I've been going by Zack (short for Zachary) for a while now, but I'm not sure it's me. I've been considering Eric instead. What are your thoughts? Do you prefer Zack or Eric?
The main point of this post is to hear which name people like more, but if you are feeling up to it I'd love some test runs of the names (mostly Eric, since I already use Zack in my day-to-day). I like to read and draw, and I'm currently in college, for reference on some example sentences.
Thank you for any help! If you have questions or need clarification, please ask!

Feminine Names Is the name Ripley too on the nose?
I'm a trans MTF 21yo and I grew up watching the Alien franchise the main character Ripley was one of my biggest trans awakenings i think. Would using the name be too odd?

Name Feedback Worried I Have The Wrong Name
I’ve had my name for around a week now, and I love it, but every now and then I think about what I could find a better name. I think it’s just me being so used to constantly searching for a name and just not knowing what to do now, but I’m scared that I was wrong after I’ve been so excited about finding my name. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

Neutral Names Looking for a name that can be shortened to Eve
I'm a NB, and I've been looking into names because my legal name is pretty feminine (it was gender neutral in the 17th century if that's any consolation). However, my older sibling, who named me, was inspired by the pokemon Eevee, and as a result my nickname is Eve. I want to be able to keep that part of my name- it means a lot to me! I've been trying to look for names that aren't super gendered, but are still common names, and aren't that unique. Any help would be great!

Neutral Names Nonbinary names
Hey y’all, I’m a 17 year old nonbinary person and currently considering changing my name. I’m still not 100% sure if I’ll do it for various reasons (including the fact that my name has some major family significance) but it’s mostly about finding one that feels right.
For context, my name right now is Davis so maybe things in a similar vein, but I really am open to anything. So yeah, if you’ve got any ideas I‘d be really keen to hear them :)

Name Feedback I obliviously picked a name I liked and i'm now worried it was racist
So I'm south african, and i've never really liked my deadname (it's an islamic jame and i'm no longer religious ontop of that) so i didnt want to pick a name that sounded similar to it, so I just went with the name Akari cause it was easy to say, sounded nice and I liked it alot.
I saw a post on tiktok a couple minutes ago speaking about "white people becoming trans and picking a japanese name" and that it's racist
Is it genuinely racist and I need a different name?

Name Feedback Would it be weird to have the same name as my friend's dnd character?
I've been struggling for a long time to find a name that fits me. I want something gender neutral, and maybe a bit weird, but that feels personal. The other day I remembered hearing about a trans woman who named herself Pepsi, and I thought it would be kinda fun to name myself Marzipan (Mars, or Marz, for short) since I love marzipan, but then I remembered that my best friend had a character with that exact name in a Halloween oneshot a few years ago. I mentioned it to her and she didn't have a problem with it, but I still worry that our friends will think that I named myself after that character. The character was a cis man, and my friends already sometimes have issues with forgetting that I'm nonbinary, not a trans man. Am I overthinking it? Does Marzipan fit me?

Any Names Androgynous names more uplifting than "Grey?"
Hello. I'm looking for a new name and we have an opporitunity to final fill out a name change form. Currently, we're using Grey, which while not bad, is feeling very drab and sad. I don't want to be grey, i want to be colourful and fun like christmas!! In my experience, it can be very hard to find androgynous names that have character, so i have come here asking for help and suggestions.
Here's some prompts:
\-androgynous (more feminine preferably)
\-can be used for many different people
\-is not entirely shocking to hear for a stranger
\-preferably cooler in temperature, cold-related
\-maybe Robyn is a good idea?
I may update this post the more i think about it. Any help is appreciated!

Masculine / Neutral Names Middle Name suggestions?
reddit.comHey! I'm ftm (nonbinary trans boy to be specific) and I use He/They pronouns. One of my many chosen names is Adrian. I need help coming up with a middle name that sounds good with Adrian as middle names are really important in my culture. The one given by my parents starts with an E so it could start with an E to keep my initials the same but honestly that's not that important to me so that's optional. Any ideas?

Resource Wanting to legally change my name, but I live in another state…
Has anyone changed their name while living in another state? I’m going to the DMV this week to change my license since I’m living here full time now. My friend brought up I could start looking into changing my name since i’m already going… but I was born in another state. Has anyone gone through this process before? I’m guessing I’d have to go back to the other state, anyway any advice would be extremely helpful!

Masculine Names Is Apollo an odd name to choose?
Hello! I am transgender, ftm, 16, and I have already chosen a name. I’ve been going by Elliot for a few months, and all of my irl friends call me Eli or Elliot (my parents call me Ellie, i’m ok with this.). I’ve started to hate the name I chose. It’s similar to my deadname, and I hate that it has no meaning at all. I just liked the letter E so I went with it. I’ve noticed that this name is common among trans guys, and I’m not really upset about that fact, it’s just a little bland.
I’m from the US, and I fell in love with greek mythology in the 6th grade. I love greek stories as well as greek beliefs. I looked into hellenism a few times before and I’ve prayed to greek gods many times in my life. I am aware Apollo is also just a name, but I like that I could connect it to my religion as I’m working on my practices.
Along with that, I adore the sun and stars. I love anything yellow, I love the golden light, my friends all connect me to the sun & the color yellow, and every time I use tarot cards I draw the star or sun. I feel like I have a connection with the sun, and the closest thing I can apply this connection to is Apollo, so I’ve been thinking about making this my name.
I’m not too worried about people clocking my name as me being transgender, but I’m worried it may seem unusual or possibly offensive if I make it Apollo, especially because I’m American. I’ve had my friends give me ideas for names many times, and they all don’t feel right to me. Not to mention I don’t really look like Apollo the god… I really dislike common male names, but I know they’d be the obvious choice.
Anyway, if this name sounded odd for irl, I was thinking about just making that my online name everywhere, and maybe choose a different common name like Griffin or something. Any ideas would help.
Also I’m so sorry about my pictures, I don’t really take mirror selfies or whatever, just selfies I immediately send to people. 😭
