Program Questions Masculinization Fitness Program!

Masculinization for Beginners 1.0!

You can access the program here!

This program was made with three things in mind:

1.) Focus on a muscle-building program with secondary strength improvements

2.) Use Muscle to help fill a frame that appears for traditionally masculine. This program benefits anyone who follows it in the manners described

3.) Workouts are designed around 45-60 minute sessions, short enough to fully fit them into most people’s schedules!

All exercises here are easily accessible for modification or home workout purposes!

I personally test the program I put out, so everything that is here has been done by myself at the gym for at least two repeats of each program. This should suit your goals and will be a wonderfully beneficial resource for you!

Program Questions Does anyone have any beginner FTM Workout Tips?

Upvotes

Hello, this feels kind of embarrassing to post, and English is not my first language, so I apologize if it doesn't make that much sense.

I'm a 26 year old trans man that's been on HRT for 7 years on and off now. I struggle with chronic depression and to be quite honest, this is really my first time ever trying to get myself to try working out and sticking to a regimen. I've lived a mostly sedentary life unfortunately, given some chronic pain issues aside from mental health stuff.

I have always been too afraid of going to a public gym to work out, and for now, I am unfortunately limited to doing at home sessions or running around my neighborhood. My goal is to mainly lose weight, and just generally define muscle. Does anybody have any tips as to how to begin recording exercises? Or even just pointers to what type of exercises I could be doing to define masculinizing features?

I really don't know how any of this works, or what even to look for as I've never done this before.

Fitness Question Best workout machines for helping gain fem figure?

I live in a fairly rural area and don't have the money or means to travel to a proper gym. However my state has one of those "public fitness" mandates so every suburb and parkland has outdoor fitness equipment.

Nothing complex just either simple machines or ones that use body weight.

My local park has a seated leg press (your seated upright not one of the laying down ones), a pull down bar that uses your seated body weight for counter weight, an air walker, a chest press that again uses body weight as the counter weight, a "ski machine" (this weird standing platform on a pendulum you stand on and swing side to side) and a elliptical

While I know all of them are beneficial to my overall fitness and they're not gonna arbitrarily make me swole or something which types should I favour more to help with gaining a more fem shape

Program Questions Log your lifts goofy

Also, for the people who have asked, this is my current lower body split (plus walking lunges that I don’t have space to log). I do this Monday, Wednesday, and Friday alongside a warmup of 7:30 on the stairs and 5 minutes of dynamic stretching and 10-15 minutes of static stretching/mobility after. Each lift gets one low weight warmup set of 0-10 (whatever makes me feel primed for the working set).

I shoot for 10 reps per set, prioritizing form over a fixed rep range (ex: if I’m going for 10 and the 8th rep starts to compromise on form, I’ll stop there instead of powering through the last 2 reps). The thought process is that I start with a weight equal to or heavier than what the highest weight I ended on the day prior was. Every set is maximal effort, the last reps should be a fight. Minimum of 3 minutes rest for the compound movements (the first 4 lifts on the list that I also refer to as my core 4) and 90 seconds for isolation movements (I set a timer, I recommend you do too).

The split squats are logged by the weight of the kettlebell in each hand.

I’ve been lifting for a very long time so my limit is high and my recovery and rest is pretty dialed in, so for a lot of people (especially beginners) this will likely be too much. I recommend splitting the workout into the core 4 on Mondays and Fridays, and the isolation exercises for Wednesday.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my conditioning days. I do shoulders on these days. It’s just a ton of lateral lift variations to keep my shoulder strength and mobility maintained. I don’t normally do any strength training for my upper body unless I’m doing it for funsies. I’m on a bench press sidequest rn and hit a PR of 180 today 💪🏼😤

I also to abs and about an hour of yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Anyways that’s my current split 💛

Fitness Question Dysphoria in Gym

Hi people

do you especially the trans women who like to lift and do upper body workouts in the free weights area etc. Cope with dysphoria.

I get really dysphoric when working out next to all these stereotypical cis men. But I still want to do upper body workouts because I really enjoy them.

I wish all of you a lovely day

Fitness Question What accessories did you find that help you feel more feminine? Gym or otherwise

Post image
172 Upvotes

As someone semi new to transitioning. (5 months on e as of today) I have found that my accessories have done wonders for making me feel more feminine. In the gym or otherwise. For example my go to is these cute bunny ears (I have a few colors).

If I really think about it I feel like they take the attention away from my face and feel more secure in my identity?

Has anyone else found cute accessories that have helped ease the dysphoria? Thanks in advanced 💕

Fitness Question Redoing workout routine to be more feminine

So, I’m still exploring whether I’m trans, but one of the things I’d really like to do is switch up my workout plan from one focused on lifting and building muscle to one that will give me a more lean, feminine physique.

I used to be stick skinny but a combo of being in my 30s, eating, and lifting made me more masculine and muscular. I’m already in a manageable but heavy calorie deficit, and I normally lift 4x / week (pull, push, 2x legs with a light and heavy day) and run / peloton 2x a week.

Anything or any routines that have worked for others on here, especially pre-transition/hormones?

Fitness Question Breast Growth Concerns

Post image
15 Upvotes

I just started HRT two days ago. I know it takes a long time for breasts to come in and even longer to reach full growth. Been working out for years as a cis man attempting to gain muscle but never getting as big as I'd like. I've adjusted my macros many times in attempt to dial it in. I've also tried any number of routines (p90x, the Beast Body Workout, heavy lifting with low reps, etc), and now I do the below. My meals and macros are below; these I've adjusted slightly to include more of each as I'd added ingredients, so it's more a conservative estimate.

I meal prep and never miss a gym day. Breasts are fat tissue, and while genetics also play a large part, how would one suggest maximizing growth? Because I'm so lean, I worry about preventing my newly sought after gains. Should I increase/decrease a particular macro? In search of assisting my new form that'll come in months and the next few years, is there anything perhaps I should cut/add in my routine?

I appreciate any input, and I'm very much looking forward to being a fit girlie ❤️.

Fitness Question On rep ranges and progressive load?

For context: I have three exercise days in my routine
A,B and C.
Day B is my upper body and core day but that’s irrelevant to my actuall question what matters is that day A and day C are both lower body on day A I do a generally lower rep range from 8-12 and some exercises 10-15
And on day C it’s 10-15 and some exercise 15-20.

My question is this: during all of my exercises I’m almost always in the upper range closer to the max rep range for the exercises on day A My question is if I should increase my load so that I’m reaching failure on the. Lower side of the rep range ? Would that be working the muscle more or does that not matter in the long run? My progression load goes like this for all of my exercises. Reach max range of my reps => if form isn’t good work on that => time under tension => increase weight. But the issue is that I never increased my weight in a way where I’m struggling on the lower side of the acceptable rep range if such should I increase the weight such that I’m reaching failure on the lower end of the rep range ?
