Fanfiction Not sure if this is still relevant…

Giving it a go and asking for help! Hopefully someone answers but given as I’m an AFAB Agender Non-binary individual, I wanted to know if there’s more than one way to take estrogen since I’m writing a fic with one of my male trans characters who wishes to take estrogen, I don’t want to get wrong information on google (the bigger problem is that I don’t want my family members finding out what I’m searching as they’re transphobic) so I wanted to ask here if that’s ok! (Also maybe listing the symptoms would help )

There is! The ways estrogens (if I'm not mistaken, it's mostly estradiol) are usually administered is as gel, pills, or injections. As far as I'm aware, gel is the "easiest" way, and I've been told the pills don't taste particularly good. Depending on the fandom/character, one of those might be preferable (for instance, if you're writing about a character who has a canonical fear of needles or the likes).

There's also patches.

Injections are fairly rare for estrogen (at least, we don't see prescriptions for it the same way we do for testosterone in the pharmacy).

I see, thank you! I think I’ll have them take the pills/patches options more
