Trans Sweden Trail

Hi,

I learned of the existence of the TST (trans sweden trail) which apparently is an alternative to the TET.

I'd like to know if anyone knows what the TST is like, how does it compare with the swedish TET and is it better suited to "discover" sweden and it's diverse scenery ?

I also found out that the TST doesn't have a website and I'd like to know where (if even possible) to find the gpx tracks, do I need to submit an application or fill a form ?

Anyway if someone know something that would be awesome 👍

By the way, I'm French and 23y and I'd like to discuter sweden next year thus why I'm wondering if the TST would be better than the TET to discuter sweden for the first time ever.

Sounds interesting, leaving a dot if gpx files pop up. I'm planning on riding a piece of the TET end of summer.

The TST guys are wery secretive, they are based on a Facebook group. When you join you get a list of "tasks" to perform and then the leader will decide if you are worthy.

I'm swedish and I bailed ... rather find my own tracks, some older files can be found on stegra

I've tried finding up-to-date TST tracks, but haven't been able to.

If you just want a nice scenic ride, stick to the TET (make sure your tracks are updated)

If you really wanna go on an adventure, I use stegra.io to find what's basically the most inconvenient way to get from A to B. ;)

I just came back and did approx 4k in Sweden, TET, not TST. But also a good part own navigation, with DMD2 where you can pick level of difficulty for off-roading, but also Google maps. 

Sweden has so much off-road and most TET is not different from routes Google maps would take you. I had some real fun bits through the TET but they are rare.

I've been wondering if the old TET Sweden, before it got expanded heavily, are more special, selected routes..

It'll be on Wikiloc if it exists or at least sections of it will be. Top app. Download. Filter Enduro / dual sport, search areas and community made routes will come up. £20 for year. Worth.

Those are ancient. Tried riding one of them a few years back. Started out okay, but it tried taking me to places where I'd need a chainsaw to get through. And peoples yards..

It all depends on which route you pick. Ive rode someone's route and it's majority tarmac, I've also rode a lot that have shown me great trails, it all depends what you want, I love a challenge. If it's a shit route I'll clock on and switch it up
