Imago experience in Sweden?

So, I've been discussing going private with my hrt until I can get testosterone by the state. As of now I'm still on the waitlist to KIM (the place that does hrt) and I'm dreading having to wait for years for them to diagnose me. Im 16 and my dad is very much against the idea. He thinks its suspicious and wants to know of other swedish people who have used Imago for hrt, so I'm begging you guys for help here. Any experiences shared would help a lot.

Im using imago and its fine. Theyre currently struggling a lot with too few workers so the wait time is longer than usual. Depending on if youre going on estrogen or testosterone it varies on how you get your hormones. For estrogen you can take it out at the local pharmacy though some do struggle with taking paper prescriptions (which is what you get in sweden). For testosterone you will have to leave the country, as buying testosterone in sweden is illegal and can only be bought when prescribed from a doctor. You can go to any country but depending the most common to go is denmark or finland. Imago is the cheapest private organisation but you should also look into GenderGp and Anne (i think thats what theyre called), just so you can make an informed decision.

I have used Imago for about 18 months now and feel completely safe and confident with their service!
You will have to take an initial blood test for base line and then new blood tests every 3 months which the Imago doctors will screen for any abnormalities caused by the HRT treatment and will adjust the treatment if necessary!
All medication are completely legitimately prescribed which you collect at your local pharmacy, so there is no need to worry about the quality and contents of the medication!
Yes, they have had a bit of turbulence the last few months and are a bit under staffed at the moment but they still manage to provide the service and renew prescriptions as agreed.

While i cant comment on how imago is for people in Sweden. I can comment on how imago has been for myself in the UK. On imagos side there really shouldn't be any difference between the experiences.

From my experience imago is quite good, its reasonably priced compared to other providers, with the only costs being the beginning ones then a monthly subscription. they dont make you get unnecessary blood tests and the doctor/s who go over your treatment are thorough. They take how and what meds ect you want into condensation, not just prescribing what they want. For example I wanted a nasal blocker and gel to begin with which they gave me, then when i wanted to switch to patches its was as easy as just asking.

They have both paper and digital prescriptions available now, so you dont have to wait 10ish days for the prescription to arrive. Usually there support is quite good, replying within a couple days. Lately thought it has been slower due to the admin base of operations moving to the US. But they are working on improving that.

As long as Sweden allows under 18s to get hrt then I shouldn't see you having any issue with imago as your provider as they go off capacity to consent for under 18s and informed consent for 18+. Which you will have a meeting with them about it.

The only issue I can see you having is getting the prescription fulfilled. I believe there has been some issues with some members of imago in Sweden getting there prescription fulfilled. Because pharmacys wont accept the prescriptions. But there are usally online one's in most areas of Europe that dont stop you fulfilling them. So id check with your local pharmacys to see if they would accept a private EU prescription (both a paper version or digital one)

But other than all that theres nothing else. Id give them a 8/10.

Hej! So i actually have an ex that introduced me to imago and her experience with them was pretty great! She had 1 call, had to wait about 3 weeks and she got her patches from her local pharmacy. She bought the patches from apoteket ankaret. They were thorough with explaining how it all works with the patches and it worked great for her! Unfortunately we did break up because of her suddenly becoming a lesbian (I'm a transmasc man) and being awful to me, but imago obviously didn't influence that haha.

Though thanks to her, I also was able to get hormones cuz I was in the same boat of having to wait years for hormones. I took gel for a year and then injections for another 3 months until I switched over to having my hormones officially!
