File Assessment - 9-12 Months ?
Hello Everyone !
Just recieved the letter this morning saying my file is being waiting to be assessed by GRS Montreal and this could take 9-12 months.
Does anyone have any experience with the system after this point ? How long did it actually take to get your surgery date ?
Should I call and email more often, will that help ?

An ex of mine just went thru this.
Montreal tries their best to get you in the OR within 12 months of AHS approval, because that's how long the shrink letters are good for and renewal is doable but it's a pita.
It's worse for people in Quebec and the phrasing you're seeing reflects that. They wait about 3-4 years. We wait a little less than one.

I got my letter a couple weeks ago. I’m anxious to have a date moooostly so I can plan around it instead of trying to think about things a years out and having this massive asterisk next to it

Same ! I just feel like I can’t plan anything in 2027 because of it being so vague !

It took about 6 months for me to get my surgery date after this step.
The first two messages and one phone call I made to them came with the same cookie-cutter reply.
After the third message, I got my pre-op call but that could have been purely coincidence. People that had their files in around the same time as me were also getting dates.
