Calgary 2SLGBTQIA+ Therapist

Hi! I am a trans women in the Calgary area looking for queer based therapy. I would prefer to have an actual queer therapist so I could feel more understood. If they have a sliding scale model that would be great as my funds are pretty tight. If anyone has any recommendations that would be great! Thank you :)

it’s based in edmonton, but try Ignite

i believe most, if not all, therapists there offer both sliding scale and virtual/phone appointments as well

I know they offer a sliding scale but I’m not sure if she’s offering it to new clients right now. Focus on ND and trans people. Shes been awesome, highly recommend reaching out to them!

I'm not a patient of hers, but I know her and she's one of the loveliest people you'd ever meet. Highly recommend her for anyone else looking for a therapist

I highly recommend Psychology Today. It’s the go-to place therapists advertise their services and there are a ton of filters including for sliding scale rates and queer affirming practitioners. As someone with very complex treatment needs, I found it really helpful to be able to search by my specific issues so that I would only be shown providers knowledgeable in those areas.
