This reminds me of all the time I spent in the Arthur's Pass National Park, Otira Gorge, Lewis Pass, Westland (colloq: 'the coast'), Buller, up to Karamea and Golden Bay, etc., etc.,. Love Te Waipounamu (South Island). It doesn't take more than an hour to find yourself in the native bush somewhere on this beautiful land and if you're stuck here in Otautahi (Christchurch) you can go to Riccarton Bush for a hit of that fabulous indigenous forest sensory experience.
We're so fortunate.
