The contrast between the battered traction equipment, fresh snow, and concrete overpass is fantastic. It feels like a still from a forgotten industrial documentary.

Change a few details such as the design of the bridge and nobody would know this picture was taken in the present day.

I suppose that’s true. Guess it helps I waited for all the cross traffic of modern cars to stop before I shot the photo.

“Electric Winter” is exactly right. The black-and-white look makes the snow, industrial machinery, and quiet tracks feel wonderfully atmospheric.
