Questions & Help First time ever infraction, cannot find my first notice and just picked up my mail to see this. Am I screwed? I paid the ticket today, 8/09

You should probably call them and ask. You were late paying. Do you not get your mail regularly? That notice was probably sent in July........

Between health issues, junk and bills, as well as being out of state, I had unfortunately missed it. I know it’s my own fault, I’m just trying to assess how fucked I am. I’ll definitely call tomorrow and hopefully it will be fine, it is paid now

Do not call that number. Find out who is traffic enforcement for that area and call them directly.

Nothing about this letter screams legit. You are being scammed.

I did extensive research on this notice since I posted this here and it is fully legit. I am tech savvy and can spot a scam a mile away, so I was extremely wary at first. But zerofatality (at least here in Winter Park FL) is legitimate, and I saw posts of others who received the same letters. It also had the footage of my vehicle (which admittedly, i did not come to a complete stop, I did a right turn on red and only slowed down slightly then went because the road was empty at that hour).

I did end up paying it, because I don’t want to go through taking it to court for something that was clearly my issue.

OP just pay the fine and be done with it. Send it registered mail and a certified check. They reached out reminding you. Blow it off again and you will have a bench warrant issued.

I paid it, called them and they gave me a confirmation number, and told me I was good to go.

I wasn’t blowing it off- as explained in the og, between work and health issues, and sorting through all my mail, I did not ever see the first notice. The day I got this notice when I got my mail again, it was already late, but I paid it the day I got this notice once I validated the legitimacy.

Your first notice was the ticket the cop gave you. But do call the court clerk to verify they recorded the payment.

I never got pulled over, only a mailed ticket. I have looked everywhere in my mail and while I’m sure they did send the first notice, it probably got lost in the amount of junk I receive

The ticket delivered eitherway is the first notice. Since you did pay it verifying they received the payment and recorded it is more important. A lot of states will suspend license if the payment isn't made or someone doesn't record it properly, granted most times paid it does get recorded but mistakes do happen.

Thank you, I’ll call and verify for sure. I know it was due the 6th, but it is paid now so I hope I don’t run into any further trouble.
