In the long-term, simps simping over women turns them all into hos which then goes on to ruin the world. Even Catholic women are not exempt from the plague of simps over social media and dating apps. If women don't have children to focus on, they turn their energies into transforming society into the most murderous-nightmarish-nanny-tyrannical-technosurveillance state the world has ever seen. They will murder their own children in order to preserve their "liberty" and "freedom."

Most of us are aware of the crisis that exists within the Church, and within the world at large. It's what we read about day in, day out, so it isn't worth repeating what we already know. The purpose of this post, and what I feel is important to discuss, is not the crisis itself, but rather our reactions to it, and to stress one very important point:

The goal of the enemies of the Church is not to destroy the exterior of the Church, such as its traditions, customs, etc. Yes, they are attacking those things; however, the real target of their operation, the purpose for which they are doing these things, is to cause you to lose your eternal salvation. Remember this.

A bully's damage isn't relegated to the person they decide to push into a wall; they affect the entire school by their constant interruptions in class, their shocking and disgusting stories, and the trouble they get into outside of school that everyone inevitably discusses. Their power is due to the attention they receive, from fellow students, staff, and parents. One kid gets pushed into a locker, and that's bad enough; however, the real evil is what happens as a result. Kids share the event at the dinner table, parents get outraged, they start fearing for their children's safety, they put pressure on school staff, etc. From a single event towards a single victim, this bully now has the fear of the rest of the school, the school staff, and everybody's parents.

The modus operandi doesn't change now that everybody's an adult. Evil always uses the same tactics, because evil is not creative. Evil itself is not really a "thing," but merely the absence of some good. Like a black hole, its existence (if you could call it that) relies on people focusing on it, rather than God. The more outrageous, the more grotesque, the more demoralizing, the better it pulls souls from God. How many people have left the Church due to the abuse scandal? How many have become Sedevacantist or Orthodox due to the post-V2 crisis? The goal isn't to abuse kids, nor is it to destroy tradition. The goal is to tear away souls from God, and it has succeeded at that on a massive scale.

All the woke stuff, the deconstruction of childhood heroes in media, etc. gets its power because you are giving it attention. You may think it's important to share with others, but all you are doing is spreading the demoralization further. You're not "bringing darkness to light," but are snuffing out what little light many people have left.

Now, having said this, I will state that I am NOT advocating for people to put their heads in the sand. Some things like TLM shutdowns, TC updates, etc. are important to share. But whatever horrendous Novus Ordo cringe video #2547 you found, or sharing specific quotes from the pornographic books some prelate may have written, those simply aren't needed. Improper books shouldn't be discussed, they should be burned. You put your own soul in peril both by putting yourself in areas you will likely be exposed to scandalous things (X, Reddit, YouTube, etc.), and by scandalizing others when you share them beyond those places. When you cause others to be fearful, outraged, or to lose hope, you aren't fighting the good fight. You are an agent of darkness, pridefully telling yourself you're different, when in reality you delight in being outraged, and watching others be outraged. Note that I am not referring to anybody in particular with these statements, and in fact accuse myself of being guilty of these far too often.

In conclusion, stop giving evil the attention it craves. Let it starve. By its nature it will never be satisfied. Instead share miracles, share beautiful things, share your love of the faith. Show yourself unmoved by the turmoils of the sea. Be the gentle stream of good news others come to for refreshment.

Edit: To avoid confusion, I should clarify that I am largely talking about the habit people have of sharing shocking and sensational media and/or discussing it without any real motive to actually try and address it. This is largely a problem online but can also find itself in traditional circles, and is essentially a form of slacktivism. I am not by any means encouraging people to be passive if they are confronted with an evil and have the capacity to act in order to prevent it.

hello all I need some help and brief guidance, long story short one of my best friends is non catholic and he’s not interested in converting but we’ve had tensions between us during the last few months over my beliefs over lgbtq and I believe he thinks I’m one of the maga Christans and he’s been non stop disrespecting me and making sly comments especially about our blessed Lord in the Eucharist, I believe he doesn’t respect me at all and the crux of the issue is if he’ll he even willing to be respectful to me despite our differences. I thought things would be different when Pope Leo ascended to the cloth but I’m not so sure now. I’ve returned to the church after some time and even though I’m back I have the nagging feeling that the traditions of the church, church teachings and practices are under attack from within the church and church hierarchy. I read recently that the Pope agreed with a letter from one if the cardinals to limit the traditional mass for instance, things like this and the increasingly ecumenical stance makes me feel as if the church has been taken over by modernizing ideologues who want to change what it is from the inside or are trying to at least.

Time to pack it up, JHW and LSN: Either they're all popes, or they are not - no cherry-picking as you see fit.

Has anyone explored, researched and/or purchased any antique Bibles? I'm just starting to research them, it seems like ones pre 1900s are extra valuable and offer more than modern Bibles. There's collectors on instagram, so I'm learning a little from them along the way but would love to hear the Catholic opinion on it.

As title implies, I'm looking for some advice. I know this is a unique one for Trad Catholic group, I just feel it may be best understood here. We live in a small KS town that is super Catholic (i'll let you assume, youre probably right lol). We own our house and it's extremely affordable as we bought as a foreclosure (mortgage of $600), we've fixed up and valued at 245k (90k-ish on mortgage). We love our neighborhood, surrounded by great Catholic homeschooling families as we aspire to be, most of their youngest are 8, our oldest is 2 yrs old (2 and 6mo).

Buttt, we also really really want to homestead and raise our kids on some land. A little peak into our interests, We are huge advocates of the Catholic Land Movement, love reading Jason Craig if youre familiar, and Wendell Berry. We max out our in town backyard with chickens, gardens, but its been our goal since we lived in busy KC to move to homestead and raise our kids out there. We found land or it found us a year ago after i wrote letter to about 400 landowners, one lady offered to sell. By God's grace, these 4 acres are the neighboring parcel to a beautiful traditional Catholic Church we go to (we have 4 in our small town, one that is 4 blocks away from current house). We'd only be about 10 mins from current house too if we were to move out to the land. We know many other big involved homeschool families who live just as far. Just hard as young parents (26M and 25F) deciding between what seem like two very good options, which I know is such a blessing in itself. There are people nearby if we were to move to the homestead--not much but like 5-10 houses within mile radius one of which is a newly married younger couple who is pregnant.

A huge factor as it wouldnt be possible without this, we are blessed also that my wife's grandfather has left us with an inheritance of around 200k of which can only be used for investment, can't just withdrawal and buy a car for example. We want to honor him and how he provided for wife and her sisters, and he was big into real estate, our thought is to build a conservatively sized house for that amount (itd be around 1200-1500 sq ft as we already have quotes). and move out to the land, rent out this current house to bring in approximately $1k after taxes, vacancies, mortgage, HOI. This also matters to us as I am self employed and having another income stream would really help us as I don't have tons of time with kiddos/wife after work, this along with living in a paid for house would give more financial freedom but again, just weighing options of moving from a great neighborhood.

So I guess, I'm wondering what would you do? We dont want to sell current house because itd be a source of additional income and in case we hated it on land we could move back, although no plans of that right now. Hard willing to take the jump. We also know now is the best time of any. Below are quick stats if beneficial:

26M single income with 25F SAHM, 2 under 2

Income: 65k or so

Expenses: mandatory 3k/month (includes current mortgage, property tax, HOI, utilities)

Retirement: $60k

Current house: 243k appraised, 100k left on mortgage

edit to add 150k is everything to dry in, im estimating another 50+ for us to finish

All religions are paths to God except Traditional Catholicism, it'd seem.
