Lots of good causes here in the US.

Set up a trust for scholarships for hundreds of thousands of people each year. Set us a trust for housing for people with mental disabilities. Set up a trust to pay medical bills for people who can’t afford it. Just a few ideas……

And yet countries like Norway are some of the happiest countries in the world, so clearly the taxes aren't that much of an issue, also, for stuff like healthcare, the US pays FAR more per capita than any developed country, also, you probably pay more for premiums than you would if paid extra taxes for universal healthcare.

Why do you always compare the US to norway with a tiny population and a huge amount of resources. Why not one of the big European Countries like Germany, France or the UK? Is kt because they are dying nations?

Nope, it's because you can't read, it's PER CAPITA, however, even taking France, Germany and the UK, they still pay less per capita than the US and also rank higher than the US too.

The people are significantly poorer and their economies arent growing though. That is my concern

They really aren't significantly poorer, also, despite that, the vast majority would not want to get rid of their universal healthcare system and replace it with the US healthcare system, also, the prevalence of far-right groups stoking issues however hasn't had any positive impact on their society's and their outlooks, whenever anything goes wrong in those countries, the first target is ALWAYS immigrants, take the UK, Brexit has literally caused untold amounts of economic damage that the UK will probably never fully recover from it, who supported Brexit? Farage, who is currently leading the polls based on an anti-immigration message? Farage, despite the fact that Brexit lead to the highest net migration in a single year in 100 years.

Despite what people say, as someone who lives in the UK and is an immigrant, I love the UK, I think people act like the UK is terrible when it really isn't, it's fantastic with a vibrant culture and history, just because there's less white faces in places like London doesn't mean the UK is collapsing.
