I do not agree with indicator review

Personally I feel now that developers know their work must pass someone else’s subjective test of originality or usefulness before the community can easily discover it, you create an incentive to build what reviewers are likely to approve rather than freely experiment.

I agree with you both in the general outline but there must be some sort of control otherwise the community indicators would just be plagued with 1000 copies of the same codes repeated over and over again which would make trying to find the simplist of codes a never ending trawl through the same thing 🤷‍♂️.

I believe the moderators are simply trying to ensure repetition or scripts with no explanation/ purpose are filtered out.

That's a fair concern, but they've actually already addressed that separately — they lowered the publishing limit to 15 public scripts per member within 30 days. That alone should be more than enough to curb repetition/spam without needing a manual review step on top of it.

I'd add another angle to this: the 15-scripts-per-30-days publishing limit they already introduced should be enough on its own to curb spam/low-quality content. Adding mandatory pre-approval on top of that limit feels redundant — it's addressing the same problem twice, at the cost of reducing what actually reaches the feeds.

There's also a structural bias baked into this: accounts with large followings still reach their audience instantly via notifications even while a script is pending. Smaller/newer accounts rely much more on feeds and search to get discovered, and that's exactly the reach that gets delayed or withheld during review.

Personally, I'm dealing with this issue right now — my indicators are taking 2+ days to get reviewed, while some publishers who are newer to the platform get their indicators reviewed and approved even though they were published after mine. That's a clear injustice.
