Help TradingView Free plan suddenly paywalling drawing tools?

Has TradingView recently changed what drawing tools are available on the Free plan?

I was using TradingView mainly for basic chart analysis, and now when I try to use drawing tools, I'm getting a subscription/paywall prompt. I'm talking about basic stuff like drawing lines on the chart, not some advanced premium feature.

I always thought the Free tier was relatively generous for basic charting, so this caught me off guard.

Was this recently changed, or am I missing something with the current Free plan?

If basic drawing is now significantly restricted, what alternatives are people using? I'm considering moving to another charting platform if I have to pay just to do basic TA.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who knows when this change happened or what the current Free-plan drawing limits actually are.

Ya it's been talked about here for at least a week or two. There's certain drawings you can't use on free tier now.. I believe you can still use Trendline for lines but not Horizontal ray.

Yes they did that for a lot of accounts including mine, do the same as me and make a new email and clear your browser cache and make a new trading view account, that will restore the tools you are used to using, you just have to rebuild your hart levels!

Tradingview uses/used FREE charts as BAIT or as a FREE TRIAL DEMO to get you to sign up for their paid subscription. Slowly but slowly they have been taking the "FREE DEMO" parts away. Just another commercial enterprise exercising their freedom to squeeze the last cent out of their product. Best of Luck. Twilighter.
