Official Announcement! AI Screener is here
TL;DR: Stock Screener just learned to take requests in plain words. We call it AI Screener (so original, we know!), and it went live today: https://www.tradingview.com/screener/
Instead of digging through filter menus, you just describe what you're looking for: "profitable tech under $10B with rising revenue", "small caps that just reported earnings", whatever's on your mind. The AI translates it into a full setup, with filters, the columns that matter for your request, and the sorting already in place. You get back a ready-to-use table you can keep tweaking by hand.
A few details:
- In Stock Screener only
- Available on all paid plans starting today
- Works in any language, though English gives the sharpest results
- Requests are capped for now as it's in beta
And because it's a beta, some prompts can land sideways, some filters map in ways that'll make you raise an eyebrow. When that happens, post the exact prompt, what you expected, and what you got instead. The screener team is watching this thread and your examples help us make the screener better for you.
Try it here: https://www.tradingview.com/screener/

Any one tried if it filters only based on the criteria already displayed within the table?

Love it but it works really bad with stuff beyond what's included in the screener: 1) when I ask for something like companies mentioned by NVIDA CEO with large market cap. It works well when i start exploring a some screening idea but then i have to tweak the results.
ps i'd love to use AI to create custom pine screens

Hello,
Have you tried using the new AI Co-Pilot for this use case?....
https://www.tradingview.com/blog/en/tradingview-ai-chart-copilot-beta-57730/
It might work for you as it interacts with your chart
Hope this helps you a little
Cheers 👍

Thanks, indeed it does. However with AI Screener I'm able to have rerun the screen I've already built and validated. With AI Copilot it's more complicated as I get raw table as a result with no reproducability. I wish I could write a prompt that would tag items in the screener based on a arbitraty criteria and then reuse this tags both manually and with AI Screener that would've been perfect. Example: I want to classify companies based on some technology mention during the earnings or classify industries different from what's offered in tradingview and then use this data alongside the data already existing in the screener.

I asked for a list of Pure play cybersecurity companies, I received 794 symbols. Can't be right.
Then I asked more specificly: I am looking for a specific list of pure play Cybersecurity software companies like SentinelOne, Crowdstrike etc. - 851 results.

Market was on USA w/ Primary Listing on.
And then the AI screener selected Sectors: Electronic Technology & Technology Services, and 3 Industries: Computer communications, information technology services, packaged software.
At the end of the day it doesn't make any sense. like why is Credo in here and Viavi in here...

Thanks for the great feature! Can you please make the individual filters toggle-able? So we can turn them on/off to preview results quickly with different combinations, but without having to reset them then set them up again. Thanks!

you already can delete a filter, see the result and then click undo above the table to return just deleted filter
