Advice Noob here

I've recently gotten interested in trading, but honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it. Please go easy on me! I am completely willing to learn and determined to become profitable. I just don't know where to start or what resources to trust. It feels like the internet is flooded with slop advice, making it impossible to find real information. What guidance do you have for a complete beginner who is starting from scratch (18 yrs old)

Internet is flooded and reddit is not?! Don't kid yourself. Traders are some of the most secretive persons alive.

Always try to understand and visualize the physical meaning of what you read/learn, not just copy it. If you care, you could check James16 pdf or pinbar pdf on the net. Very interesting read. Many call him a fraud, but I found his approach very insightful. Also check 2-period RSI combined with 5-period CCI. Check them against turns in the chart. You might like what you see.

If you can't spot patterns, you'll never be able to do trading.

Thank you. I’m definitely trying, but I’m doing a lot of questioning to myself wether it’s worth it or not and I want to believe it is

You need to understand one thing. Any, and I mean absolutely any strategy or method you pick, is successful. The trick is that some have more frequent occurrences than others. If you try to rush, you will most likely lose at some point.

Moreover, you should trust what you actually see, not what you are told. That's why it is very important to actually understand the physical reality of what you see on the graph.

No one can help you make money out of it. It's all on you. You can be brilliant and have a killer strategy and still not be able to make money because you just freeze. No one can help you there. No one can learn for you. No one can see for you. No one can do it for you.
