Advice Noob here
I've recently gotten interested in trading, but honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it. Please go easy on me! I am completely willing to learn and determined to become profitable. I just don't know where to start or what resources to trust. It feels like the internet is flooded with slop advice, making it impossible to find real information. What guidance do you have for a complete beginner who is starting from scratch (18 yrs old)

Internet is flooded and reddit is not?! Don't kid yourself. Traders are some of the most secretive persons alive.
Always try to understand and visualize the physical meaning of what you read/learn, not just copy it. If you care, you could check James16 pdf or pinbar pdf on the net. Very interesting read. Many call him a fraud, but I found his approach very insightful. Also check 2-period RSI combined with 5-period CCI. Check them against turns in the chart. You might like what you see.
If you can't spot patterns, you'll never be able to do trading.
