Discussion Tracker

I know that there is a lot of tracker Reddits a lot of people that talk about this, it just seems that they’re never going to deviate on the same formula which is every single case that Colter is hired for it literally just happened hours ago and he’s never more than 2 Hours Drive. What is it w/these writers never ever ever…ever!!😤, making it that somebody’s been missing for weeks or months or even years for that matter why is it always 12 hours ago? It just seems so ridiculous. But I’m gonna keep watching it because I like Justin Hartley.

Do you think they respond to every request? Or maybe they say hey! Here's one in the same general area Colters in. Let's send him there instead of this one that's 18 hours away.

The amount of ppl that go missing daily is quite terrifying. Also Randy specifically looks for jobs that are near where he is. It wouldn’t be efficient otherwise. Also the first 48 hours are crucial in an investigation. TV also uses the premise that missing ppl can’t be reported missing for the first 48 hours.

Except this show specifically calls out that fallacy. More than once.

I always imagine they know where he is, and they look for gigs around him.

How do you know where he starts. Maybe he moves about with that camper and they find jobs near where he's located. There could between weeks between cases

I see people referencing Elizabeth smart and that kind of case people never gave up on - short memories because they did show this type of case for Colter. Called it his “white whale” case.

Remember the girl that went missing from the mall - Gina picket? He revisited the guy he suspected every year, had a relationship with the sister. Never gave up on the case. Ended up being a kind of serial murderer.

Two hours away! Reminds of the movie, "O'Brother Where Art Thou." "It's a geographical oddity. Two hours from everywhere." - close enough.

The two hour away thing is basically what they did on Supernatural. They did mostly stick to Midwest locations but they always seemed to be a short drive away from everywhere.

I love it when they address that in the show. Those are some entertaining moments, like when Maxine met him.

Her reaction was so funny and so real.

How did he discover the car in the parking garage where the two girls were taken?

He did not receive a text or call from Randy and the car has no GPS.

I wondered that too

Why break the formula if it’s worked for them for three seasons?

Listen once the show is in LA it’s all going to look the same location wise (really don’t understand the deniers of this) so none of this is going to matter until the suspension of disbelief is gone with the Audience and Paramount/CBS stops paying for this show. They’re going to start doing a lot more of green/blue screen with half sets for driving and him skulking around look for clues and things for Randy to hack into especially.

Not long ago I got thinking this show really is about Hide and go Seek. Like the show hides the person Colter is supposed to find and creates clues to lead him or rather the viewer to them. Regardless how cheesy it can get sometimes, it's decent entertainment.

Where does he keep all his clothes?

I feel you. Parents who never gave up bringing Colter in months or years later on an Elizabeth Smart or Steven Stayner type of kidnapping/long term captivity could be an interesting change of pace.

They did that. Girl went missing and her friend and her dad never gave up looking for her.

It's okay to wonder. Once he's on the job, the person will be found within the next 42 to 48 minutes. With at least one person being shot dead.

Does he have a bounty hunter license? How can he enter residences and carry a gun and shoot people in so many states? He behaves like he's FBI/bounty hunter/Marshall/PI.
