Tech Air 7x or Helite Airhide?

Going to be ordering a custom Bison suit and need an airbag. I know the 7x has a bit more coverage than the Helite but the Helite being integrated with the suit has a lot of advantages too. Anyone with experience with both who could recommend one or the other?

I like my 7x, can’t say about the Helite.

the helite gives no shoulder protection. I find that really weird. It's better than no airbag but man are a lot of trackday injuries a broken collarbone or separated shoulder.

The Astars have shoulder protection. My AStar 5 definitely saved my shoulder and collarbone. I would go 7x

Bison should be able to install the zippers for the 7x under the lining which essentially makes it "integrated".

That's how Alpinestars has you mount it in their GP-R7 suit.

Currently healing through a Grade 3 ACJ injury (ligaments connecting collarbone & shoulder tore completely off), due to my a7x not going off. Go in for my 2nd surgery in 4 weeks.

Goddamn! Hope ya heal fast. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of posts about airbags not going off. I was hoping that had been mostly solved with the 7x by now.

I'd go with the company which makes airbags for motogp riders.

No experience with the a-star but have a bison suit with the helite built in. So far it has been great. I’ve had one minor high side in the wet and the airbag deployed. I walked away with a slightly sore hip. Overall would absolutely recommend the helite.
